Founder & Executive Producer

Chris Moujaes (here’s a hint: Moe-JEYE-es) is the Founder, CEO and Executive Producer at Herohelix. Chris is an accomplished entertainment and animation executive who specializes in developing, financing, producing, and distributing animated motion pictures, live action films and music for the international marketplace. He's also a gifted storyteller, showrunner and artist who is behind the unique fictional universes developed at Herohelix.

Chris' specialized industry expertise includes building film production slates, negotiating and arranging international co-productions for animation and live action projects, leading overseas animation teams and international production groups, intellectual property development and rights acquisitions, and developing complex financial models. But that's just half of the story.

Chris is also the creator of Herohelix's Flux Destiny universe, serving as head writer, lead artist and character designer. As an accomplished author, his first book Flux Destiny: Battlegate was released to great fan reviews in 2016. His first novel, Flux Destiny: Agents of Karma will be released by Herohelix this year.

motion picture executive

Prior to founding Herohelix, Chris was the Head of Original Entertainment for FUNimation Entertainment where he oversaw the studio's various film release labels. He joined FUNimation in 2009 to start the department from scratch and supervise all aspects of the production process from story development all the way through post-production.

live action and animated movies

Over his 6 years with FUNimation, Chris managed millions of dollars in motion picture development and production, oversaw the creative development of dozens of films, and served as showrunner of 8 original movies.

His proudest moments at FUNimation were serving as the Executive Producer of Mass Effect: Paragon Lost (nominated for an XBOX Video Award) and Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker anime movies based on the hit video games by BioWare.

Previously, Chris was also President of Boomstar Inc., an international animation services company specializing in video games and television, and Spoonbend Inc., a branding agency.

Chris is a full-time dad to two little girls, a cat named Sheldon and his best buddy, Bentley, an Australian Shepherd. They call Dallas home.
